Holiday house

Marjie's Place is a fully furnished, refurbished 3 bedroom brick home well placed to capture all the sea breezes of Hervey Bay & sleeping up up to 5 or 5A 2C.

The house features:
. Cool Front Verandah for relaxing overlooking the protected front lawn
. Open fernery with chairs for relaxing out in the back yard area
. Cool polished wood floors throughout
. Fans throughout
. Fully equipped Kitchen
. Open plan Dining room/Lounge with TV, DVD
. Bathroom (separate bath & shower) with separate toilet
. Master bedroom with double bed plus plenty of room & storage space
. 2nd bedroom with single bed & the kit for 2 more beds with plenty of storage space
. 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds & plenty of storage space
. Laundry - Washer & Dryer
. Linen & Towels supplied (Simply wash & dry prior to leaving)
. Fully fenced yard with well maintained garden & room to run

Hervey Bay/Scarness

Hervey Bay - a pleasant 3-4 hour drive from Brisbane.
Direct flights operate daily from Sydney

Scarness is “smack bang” in the centre of Hervey Bay.

Safe swimming beaches line the whole “Bay”
Walk, jog or cycle along kilometres of bike/walkways that run along the entire foreshore of Hervey Bay or picnic at one of the many BBQ spots lining the foreshore.

Your dog on a lead is allowed along areas of the foreshore (the nearest to Marjie’s Place is to the left of the Scarness Jetty) with “off leash” times applying in some areas.

Beach & boating fishing enthusiasts are well catered for with good tackle shops, boat ramps, fishing charters for deep-sea fishing and friendly locals.

Sailing is popular at Hervey Bay.

Hervey Bay (& Marjie’s Place) is the ideal base for exploring Fraser Island or for Whale Watching in the season.
Numerous charters/cruises depart daily from the Urangan Boat Harbour & some of these will “pick up” from locations all along the Bay.

Hervey Bay (& Marjie’s Place) is a great central location for day trips along the Fraser Coast & its hinterlands & consider a trip to Mon Repos in the summer turtle breeding season.

For 30 years plus, Marjie’s Place has been the holiday home where Marjie’s family & friends have had many happy holidays & enjoyed the beach surroundings.

The home is well appointed for a self-catering holiday & centrally located to easily access supermarkets, clubs, restaurants, coffee shops & take-away while being located in a quiet area.

Look at the map attached to this site & you will see that it is walking distance to the beach or a short drive.

We have made it an “easy care” home so that you can enjoy your holiday.

Just bring yourselves & your choice of toys (bikes, fishing gear, togs & books).

Peak periods are Xmas, Easter & Autumn, Spring & Xmas School holidays. Weekly booking only in peak times- $665/week (7 x $95)

Out of peak holiday periods are $475/week (see Deals) or $95 per night with a minimum 5 nights.

Price on application for stays less than 5 nights in off peak or less than a week in peak periods.

Prices on application for parties more than 4 adults.

Our check-in time is 2pm and check-out is 11am.
